Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze statistics and trends;
- Extract data from CIMS or other databases supported by OMI to produce reports;
- Uses various query software tools to produce finished reports, statistics, and/or graphic information reflective of the subject matter;
- Analyze and evaluate data extracted for the purposes of quality assurance, quality control, and data integrity;
- Prepare procedures manuals, user guides, and technical documentation, to include but not limited to, report development documentation;
- Prepare written analyses and recommendations for the COR;
- Adhere to established procedures in the registration of reports in Business Objects Enterprise for testing and production;
- Post PDF versions of selected reports to the OMI Intranet and becoming familiar with the structure and operation of the website;
- Develop new reporting tools, views, and interfaces;
- Train users in new applications, reporting tools or system features;
- Maintain daily work reports; and
- Manage frequent contact with the COR and other Civil Division personnel.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science or management information or equivalent experience, i.e., 4 years of progressively more responsible experience in a professional analytical occupation working with relational databases for the purposes of data extraction;
- Proficient in extracting data from relational databases using various query software tools, graphic displays for data presentation, database tools, and spreadsheet software;
- proficient and experienced using SQL, T-SQL, Crystal Reports 2016, and Microsoft Access;
- Experience using HTML, ASP, and Visual Basic;
- Able to produce finished reports containing analyses, graphics, and recommendations;
- Experience using computers, including email, Word and Excel;
- Excellent data analysis skills;
- Able to work independently;
- Excellent written and effective oral communication skills; and
- Experience in a legal environment.
