ThreatX is seeking talented and highly motivated candidates to fill a Senior User Experience Designer position to work with our development engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and standardization of the user interface for major components of the ThreatX API Protection Platform, as well as the improvement of the presentation and utilization of cyber threat information in the ThreatX platform.
The position works with the existing core technology platform and the ThreatX web management and analytics dashboard to design and improve the presentation and utilization of user data.
The ideal candidate will be able to shape the user experience discipline at ThreatX. You must have excellent user interface design and Information Architecture skills, and a keen understanding of security tools and techniques. This senior-level role requires demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy designing, developing, and maintaining advanced modules within a large distributed system.
Like most of the world, we’re working in a hybrid model or remotely these days, so communication skills—both verbal and written—are critical. This role will be filled in our Metro-Denver headquarters (in Louisville, CO) or in Metro-Boston.

Responsibilities
- Understand product specifications and target users
- Conduct concept and usability testing to gather feedback
- Oversee the creation of personas through user research and data
- Define the interaction model and evaluate its success
- Develop and refine the information architecture
- Develop wireframes and prototypes to meet customer needs
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
- Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
- Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
- Strong portfolio of design projects
- Experience in project management and leading teams
- User research and usability testing experience a plus
- Familiarity with interaction design principles and information architecture techniques
- Proficient in design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe, Balsamiq)
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Analytical mind with a business acumen
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree in Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psych, or related field
- 7+ years of experience
