Sparkbox is looking for a web designer with a passion for building a better web. We're always keeping our eyes out for great people—always looking, selectively hiring. The right person for this position loves collaboration with coworkers and clients and believes it brings about the best work. The right person also wants to work in a learning-hungry web environment and help lead the web industry by sharing.
If you’re right for this position, first and foremost you have stellar design skills and a portfolio to back it up. You feel right at home designing a visual language for a website and thinking about designing modularly for design systems. You care about the little details when it comes to typography, interactions, animations, user experience, and layout. You have a human-centered view of the web, know its limitations and possibilities, and care about performance.
This is a fully remote position.
Requirements:
Passion and humility are vital, as you’ll work directly with our designers, project managers, and other developers at Sparkbox. You’ll also interact with clients and should feel comfortable presenting work. You'll need to be eager to learn new things, advance your skills, and push to find new processes.
Experience and fluency in the latest web/design tools is required:
- Figma
- Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Illustrator, Photoshop)
Not required but a bonus if you have:
- Experience with animation/prototyping tools (Principle, Framer, etc.)
- Experience with UX research and user testing
- Experience with writing some HTML/CSS
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design
