ABOUT THE ROLE
In this position you will work on CrateDB Cloud, the Software-as-a-Service offering from Crate.io. You will be working on our React-based user interface, developing new components as well as maintaining existing ones. The CrateDB Cloud team is fully remote with developers in several European countries. While the role is front-end oriented, you will have the opportunity to work on the entire stack, the rest of which is primarily Python based.

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Develop and maintain the user interface for CrateDB Cloud, as well as other related user interfaces
- Write clean, readable code
- Code review and provide feedback for other developers' code
- Work with the rest of the team to define required API contracts
- Participate in daily standup meetings
- Support the Product Managers with technical requirements
YOUR SKILLS
- Proven experience as a frontend engineer or similar role (3 years+)
- Craftsmanship to continuously improve and take over responsibility for existing code bases
- Good knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem (yarn, webpack, etc), HTML, CSS and modern web frameworks (React, Tailwind)
- Experience with test driven development
- A good understanding of the principles of CI pipelines
- Fluent English
NICE TO HAVE
- Basic Kubernetes knowledge
- A penchant for UX design
- Experience working on a SaaS product
