Our Product Design Lead is responsible for creative direction and overall user experience of the Delivery Solutions product suite. Working closely with product managers and the product engineering team, they ensure our applications are designed with our customers and their users in mind at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and inspire a team of User Experience Designers
- Understand and represent customer needs as a continual advocate for users
- Maintain quality products aligned with our brand and values
- Utilize customer research and market knowledge to help design product features
- Set standards for visual style, interaction design, and user workflows
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team, other designers, and stakeholders to generate ideas and creative solutions to problems
- Be a champion of injecting delightful experiences into our products and pushing forward great design as as key attribute of our work
Qualifications:
- Experience designing complex, web-based software products
- Ability to translate business requirements into valuable product features
- Understanding of creating customer value through design
- Appreciation of usability and accessibility of software
- Demonstrated ability to lead design in a collaborative software development environment
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based designs
Soft Skills:
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Comfort in managing a globally distributed design team
- Thought leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders on design concepts
